Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust data pipelines for analytics and models.
  • Implement the latest technologies to streamline pipeline and data analysis processes.
  • Develop systems to handle big data computation tasks efficiently.
  • Diagnose and resolve functional failures in data pipelines.
  • Utilize best practices and methodologies in developing data solutions.
  • Define and create ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows, including requirement gathering and solution modeling.
  • Update and optimize data structures, aligning them with the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Enhance data analysis methodologies and bridge existing gaps where necessary.
  • Collaborate with teams on DevOps initiatives, contributing to infrastructure setup.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

Requirements

  • Expertise in relational databases like Postgres.
  • Knowledge of big data processing tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based solutions like GCP Dataflow.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL storage (e.g., JSON, Azure Table Storage, Elasticsearch).
  • Advanced skills in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, R).
  • Strong data modeling expertise and schema design capabilities.
  • Experience creating ETL processes and developing data warehousing solutions.
  • Understanding of data security protocols and compliance regulations (e.g., PIPEDA, PHIPA).
